• The Intellens Chrome Extension allows users to search for products using image recognition technology and provides links to similar products on third-party marketplaces such as AliExpress and Amazon.
• We are committed to protecting user privacy and minimizing data collection.

The Extension collects and processes only the data necessary to provide its core functionality:

2.1 User-Provided Images

• When users:
  • Upload an image
  • Right-click an image to search
  • Capture a screen area
  • Submit an image URL
• The image or image URL is transmitted securely to our server for AI-based analysis.

2.2 Page URL (Limited Context)

• When performing image search from a webpage, the current page URL may be transmitted to improve search accuracy.

2.3 Wishlist Data

• If users save products to the Wishlist feature, this data is stored locally in the user’s browser using Chrome storage. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

2.4 Technical and Installation Data

• We may collect limited technical information such as installation events, uninstall events, IP address, country-level location (derived from IP), and basic usage statistics to improve the Extension.
• This information is used solely for internal analytics, operational monitoring, fraud prevention, and service improvement. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

3. How We Use the Information

The transmitted images and related metadata are used solely for:

• Performing AI-based product recognition
• Generating similar product recommendations
• Returning search results to the user

We do not use analytics tools for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• Uploaded or captured images are processed temporarily on our secure servers.
• Images are not permanently stored.
• Images are automatically deleted immediately after processing and are not retained on our servers.
• Wishlist data remains stored locally in the user’s browser until manually deleted by the user.
• We do not maintain user accounts or long-term personal profiles.
• Technical logs and uninstall feedback are retained only as long as necessary for operational, security, and improvement purposes.

5. Server Infrastructure

• Our processing servers are hosted on Google Cloud Service (GCP) infrastructure located in the United States, Japan, and Singapore.
• All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS.

6. Data Sharing

• We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
• Uploaded images may be transmitted to third-party image recognition or search APIs solely for the purpose of generating product search results.
• Third-party service providers process data solely for the purpose of providing search results and are not permitted to use the data for independent purposes.
• The Extension may generate affiliate links to third-party marketplaces (e.g., AliExpress, Amazon). These links may include standard referral tracking parameters. No personal data is shared with affiliate partners beyond standard referral tracking information.

7. Cookies and Tracking

• The Extension does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising analytics tools.
• Third-party websites (such as AliExpress or Amazon) may use their own cookies when users visit their platforms. Their data practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.

8. User Rights and Data Deletion

Because we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data long-term:

• Users may clear locally stored Wishlist data at any time via the browser.
• Users may contact us to request information or raise privacy concerns.
